Entry to Employment

Entry to Employment is a programme designed for 16-19 year olds who have left school but are not quite ready or able to access an Apprenticeship or any other level 2 programme (such as NVQ) or employment.

The e2e programme is designed to help and support young people to become independent, self-motivated, informed and empowered to take control of their lives.

Skills covered on the e2e programme include:

  • Personal Social Development
  • Skills for Life
  • CV writing
  • Job hunting and interview skills
  • Work experience in a wide variety of occupations.

e2e is a flexible learning route, and planned attendance is normally 30 hours a week for a minimum of 10 weeks. Although learners will not receive a wage on e2e they will be eligible for weekly Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) of £30.00 per week if they attend more than 16 hours per week. They will also be paid achievement bonuses as they progress through the programme.
